Reason is imported folks are cheaper. Job creation is a nice thought and there is a lot to fix but after fixing then what for 50 years? You need to re- start manufacturing and recycle what is used up.
Example: Where do you think WAL-Mart plastic bags Come from? And when you buy a fan from Wal-Mart you might get one to three years service before it s junk. American made fans had little places to oil the bearings and lasted 20 years.
Just another thought. In Tucson, Arizona hundreds of jetliners sit and rot and the engines are just fine. Mount them on flat bed trucks hooked to a generator and power them with methanol.
